History of Guhuhu Games

It started back in the Spring of 2021. The pandemic was in full swing, and everyone had been through at least a dozen hobbies during quarantine. In the early months of isolation, Katie and Juliana discovered a mutual love of visual novels and otomes, starting a virtual book-club of sorts.

But after dozens of stories of ninjas, vampires, and samurai warriors, so many playthroughs led to the same conclusions: the protagonists were too naïve, the character conflicts were handled immaturely, and the romance never went far enough. They knew exactly what kind visual novel they wanted, but they couldn’t find it. Maybe they would need to make it themselves…

A laugh echoed in the back of their minds. Not the delicate laugh of amusement, but a naughty, nerdy laugh—the kind you might utter when reading an unexpectedly steamy passage—the kind where your whole body squirms and your shoulders hunch as you want for somewhere to hide, but have nowhere to go. “GU-HU-HU-HU!”

And thus, Guhuhu Games was born.
